RT-250 Demonstration : Membrane Application

ram-Tough 250 hot applied rubberized asphalt is squeegee applied to the deck. The fluid applied membrane;

  • is monolithic which eliminates potential seam failure
  • has a tenacious bond to the deck which prevents water migration beneath the membrane
  • has self-healing cold flow properties in warm temperatures
  • has elastic properties that can offer watertight protection over developing cracks in the deck
  • 300-600% greater thickness offers greater protection
The ram-Tough 250 is drawn from the melter into a pail where it is transferred to the application site. The (35-37) pounds of material is poured onto the deck. Note that it's viscosity is rather heavy and it must be squeegee applied to the desired thickness (It is not self-leveling)
The ram-Tough 250 is squeegee applied to the desired thickness.
In the dual (DM) application, Poly-Felt 125 is set into the hot ram-Tough 250. Poly-Felt 125 VP is a 1.5 oz. per square yard polyester reinforcing.
The Poly-Felt 125 is broomed into the ram-Tough 250 to assure proper saturation and adhension.
For plaza decks, parking decks, planters and other applications where the overburden is applied directly over the membrane. Ram 203 is a SBS sheet, fiberglass reinforced, 2.2 mm thick ram-203 is applied as a protection course.
For roofing, terraces and other applications where insulation is installed over the membrane, a polyethylene bond breaker is applied over the membrane.
