RT-250 Demonstration : Overburdens

On insulated applications extruded Styrofoam insulation is loosely laid in-place over a polyethylene bond breaker and the installed membrane.
Stone ballast is the most common cover over styrofoam insulation. On roofing applications using ballast, a filter fabric is applied over the insulation before the ballast. The correct amount of ballast is determined by the geographical location, building height and perimeter treatment.
Hydraulically pressed concrete pavers for roof terraces are also used as ballast.
Concrete pavers are covered under system warranty against breakage, freeze-thaw damage.
On many plaza deck applications, due to structural slope, pavers are placed on pedestals for leveling. Insulation materials are sometimes used to create the pier for leveling. The black spacers is to create lateral spaces between the pavers keeping joints spaces uniform.
Completed plaza deck installation presents a pleasant and creative environment for building occupants and neighbors.
Using RT250 and PMR application, roof top terraces, gardens and roof scapes are gaining favor creating more usable space, improving asthetics and improving environmental condictions.
