Lightweight Needled Mineral Wool Mat
Roofscapes® Mineral Wool is a lightweight, horticultural grade material comprised of spunrock mineral wool fibers which are mechanically needled into pliable mats without chemical binders.
Roofscapes® Mineral Wool is engineered for retention, filtration, and cultivation. A lightweight alternative to traditional growing media, the material acts as a natural filter, enhancing water quality while supporting plant health. It also provides excellent retention, absorbing roughly 3 lbs (1.4 kg) of water with only 1 lb (0.45 kg) of mineral wool. This effectively reduces runoff and manages stormwater while creating an excellent environment for plant root growth and propegation.
Roofscapes® Mineral Wool is used in Terra-SCAPES™ Extensive Mineral Wool assemblies for applications that require enhanced stormwater capabilities, low maintenance, and lower weights.
